Day 8 Rest day Mt Gambier aahhhhhh

Today we blissed out in beautiful Mt Gambier.  We all slept in and got up and had a leisurely breakfast and then went for a walk around The Blue Lake I don't think any of the photos do it justice though!!

Then we all came back and read and rested till lunch which was lovely homemade sandwiches.

After lunch a bit more reading and resting and then we went to check out Centenary Tower, The Devil's Punchbowl and Valley Lake very peaceful and relaxing.

We had a lovely dinner....the funniest thing though we bought a packet of salad leaves at Woolies yesterday so I emptied the packet into a bowl and started to add, avocado, cucumber, capsicum and tomatoes and then I noticed a bit of plastic in the salad so I pulled it out and found croutons?? no feta cheese woohoo bonus! so I 'tossed' the salad a bit and put it on the table halfway through dinner I noticed another bit of plastic and pulled it out to find cubed beetroot ha ha and then ..........I said "I wonder if there's another packet in here?" and lo and behold there it was a packet of honey/mustard salad dressing it was hilarious!!  I pulled the salad packet out of the bin and in very faint writing it said included in this packet feta/beetroot and dressing LOL

After dinner we wondered up the hill to chat to some guys who had pulled in this afternoon on bikes ( one of them riding the Venture Dave wants to get ) and were camping they have an amazing set up a little trailer that carries an enormous amount of equipment!! including an esky, stove, tents and chairs/table.  Lovely guys from Sale in Victoria.

We are planning an early getaway tomorrow so we beat the full heat of the day as it is forecast to be over 30 degrees phew!!
