Day 6 Stanley - Cradle Mountain

We retraced our steps to Dismal swamp but didn't find my phone :(  So I've decided to put it out of my mind and enjoy my holiday!!

We rode down to the Wild Wood gallery there were lots of beautiful wooden creations and the smell was amazing walking into the gallery.

The plan was to ride into Hellyer Gorge and have lunch (couldn't help but think of the Hellcats  hell yeah LOL) but we were thinking that there wouldn't be much there so decided to have lunch at the first place we saw.  We arrived in a little place called Yolla at the General Store there was petrol and a cafe, we had hamburgers, chips and drinks for $18 there was so many chips and the hamburgers were huge!!  Then we rode out to the holiday park at Cradle Mtn, we are staying in a fully equipped cabin and decide to 'eat in' "cuppa" noodles LOL after we got our groceries Dave wanted to ride out to check out the walks we want to go on tomorrow, the gate to the park is a boom gate that is down when we get there.  So David rode through a pedestrian barrier and along the shuttle route and into the park with me protesting all the way!!!  I'm such a goody two shoes!  Dave says he's working on my nautification LOL  It's a really narrow road and we follow one of the shuttle buses all the way down (several areas are one lane only)  The view at Dove Lake is breathtaking and the sun is shining so I took the opportunity to take a few photos including a panorama with the bike in it.  Tomorrow we will come in on the shuttle bus and walk around the lake 6km.  Our cabin is really comfy and warm, thank goodness because it's freeezing outside.
