Day 4 Swifts Creek - Phillip Island

The dogs came back to the B&B whimpering at 3am!! Dave said I hope Trevor doesn't come to the door crying next LOL  When we were leaving this morning instead of jumping around barking at us the dogs looked like they had hangovers bahahahaha we left a note for Trevor on the table with the balance of the money for our stay.  David checked out the brakes and they seem OK.

We had left getting petrol till this morning because Trevor had told David that there was petrol in Swifts creek well.......it was't open just before 9am on a Saturday morning was it!! there was a sign poted on the road saying 70km till the next fuel sooo we set out with great trepidation knowing it would be a stretch on what we had in the tank.  Riding around some of the last few bends the bike started to cough and splutter as I silently prayted please get us there, I think we were running on fumes as we pulled into that servo!

So we skipped stopping in Bairnsdale and the plan was to stop in Longford but oops Longford was nothing but a school and a gas works dammit I was busting by the time we got to a little place called Woodside just out of Yarram.  We got some local knowledge and discovered that our planned lunch stop was also a nothing place so a woman gave Dave directions to Fish Creek where the pub has legendary food.

At the pub both Leigh and Dave ordered kids meals (yes you can!) and I had brushetta which was awesome Leigh couldn't even finish the kids meal! ha ha

From there it was only another hours ride out to our hotel in Cowes on Phillip Island.  We did a load  of washing and went for a walk down to the pier and went to buy some food for dinner chicken and salad with crusty bread yum yum!

heading to Phillip Is

Bass Strait

beautiful day
