A beautiful sunny, cloudless day greeted us this morning it was a bit fresh on the bike to start with but a dry road is a great road!!
The ride from Phillip Is to Sorrento for the ferry was pretty uneventful riding along we could see the ocean in parts it was pretty spectacular.
Once at the car ferry we parked and got coffees while waiting for the 12:00PM ferry. To accompany our coffee we got one of the new Mars honeycomb ewww not impressed! Loading was easy and we parked the bikes underneath and went up on deck for the 45min ride, which went surprisingly quickly. As it was with the Spirit of Tasmania the offload was pretty quick and caught Leigh a little unaware so we waited for her once we were off down the road a little. Then we rode a little way down the road to Queenscliffe and had a yummy lunch at one of the pubs pizza mmmmm
There were many beautiful old buildings in Queenscliffe and lots of shops. We each bought an ice cream and strolled through the main street it was very relaxing.
We rode along the coast road through Barwon Heads, Torquay, Bells Beach and Anglesea before arriving at our motel The Lighthouse Keepers Motel for the night.
At Bells Beach there were lots of Paragliders flying around it looked great against ther blue sky.
Dave had discovered that the panniers on his bike had become a bit loose so went out to fix them and Leigh thought her chain might need oiling so he had a look at that and found a stick about as thick as a pencil and about 50cm long embedded in her chain LOL so I think that's what was making it 'vibrate' ha ha
We are planning a cliffside walk this afternoon before dinner and possibly chips on the beach for tea. Having a really great time. Great riding, great food great company and best of all great weather!!
