The day started out OK a little cool and raining lightly.  Buffet breakfast not my favourite but it was early so not very molested LOL

We stopped for petrol in Sloan.  We motored along fairly quickly so we could make the Machine Shed restaurant in Urbandale and meet Mike, Holly and Morgan McCormick for breakfast.  We make it there within 5 minutes of the time we told them and Mike and Holly had already organised a table so by the time we walked in the table was ready.  We decided to have a caramel/pecan bun it was HUGE so we shared one.  It was great meeting the McCormick family, I so wish we could have stayed longer.

We then rode through very, very heavy rain and finally had to pull over in Davenport and wait till it settled a little.  Once over the border of Illinois the rain settled and we began to dry out some. 

We got to the hotel about 5:45pm and had organised to meet David and Deborah Donohue at 7pm for dinner.  We met at the steakhouse called Woody's down the road from our hotel.  David and Deborah had their 5 children with them.  Billy, Lillian, Patrick, Brendan and George were just delightful we had a lovely meal together and after dinner Lillian danced for us.  Then we walked to our hotel to show the children our motorcycle.  Again I wished we could have spent more tiome together but it was lovely that they could make the trip to Ottawa all the way from Chicago.
