Norfolk - Petersburg

Sunday 13th July
After breakfast and goodbyes which are always very hard especially when it's family we were back on the road again.  It was already warm so our jackets were firmly strapped on the back. And then we hit.....the traffic!!!

A trip that should have taken us 2 hours took over 3 hours even though we wheedled our way on the highway a bit as only one on a motorcycle can if you get my drift.  The first leg that should have taken an hour took two so that by the time we got to Williamsburg we were both very hot and tired.  We pulled into a paved carpark of the visitor's centre and David turned towards the right to park and the bike just stopped and laid on it's side (not all the way over because it was level ground and the crash bars saved it) it was pretty funny, I was just sitting there holding on to my comfort handles and laughing.  We stood it back up and went inside to check out what the town had to offer.  To us it just looked like a giant tourist trap so we got some petrol had some Subway for lunch, went for a cruise around town and then rode straight up the freeway to Petersburg.

It was very humid and about to rain.  We went into our room just in time to see the final of the World Cup starting we thought we would have missed half of it so we waddled across the road to get beer and chips and planted ourselves in front of the telly.

After the game we walked up the road for dinner All you can eat Catfish yum yum
