More tolls today. Great weather, in fact, by the time we get to Washington I'm sure it's in the high 70's. The road that we have on our instructions is closed but we make our way regardless. We arrive at Henley Park Hotel about 3 pm after a bit of a detour due to difficulty seeing street names LOL we check in and pay for parking, valet parking LOL Dave says to the doorman "the usual deal is if you drop it you've bought it" ha ha so Dave rides it down and tells the doorman to jump on the back. He is a VERY tall man from Burkino Faso and he just steps over the back and sits down LOL
Our room is just lovely but then so it should be in a hotel in downtown DC. Dave has a shower so I iron his shirt and shorts such a mundane every day task that I usually hate but since I haven't done any in over two months it felt good funny eh?
We google laundromats and find one just around the corner so we go over and do our laundry.
And then we go for a walk downtown to check everything out like breakfast and dinner options. We find the White House Baz and Shelly were out so we may drop over for a cuppa tomorrow we'll see. We found a diner called Ollie's and had some really good burgers. On the way back to our room we found a Thai restaurant that is having a happy hour from 3:30pm tomorrow for the World Cup game Germany v Brazil we'll probably go watch after siteseeing all day.
